Common questions

Which time zone is used?

You enter your local time and we store it in UTC, so every phone shows it correctly in its own time zone.

Do all phones support event QR codes?

Support varies between scanner apps, so always test-scan with the kinds of phones your audience uses. If in doubt, a URL code pointing to an event page works everywhere.

Static vs. Dynamic

Not all QR codes are built the same.

Most “expired” QR codes didn’t expire. A service in the middle was switched off.

Static QR code

What we make
  • Stores the final content — your link, text or Wi-Fi details — directly in the pattern.
  • Needs no QR provider to keep a redirect running.
  • No platform-imposed expiration date.
  • The content can’t be changed after it’s generated. Make a new code instead.

Dynamic QR code

What subscriptions sell
  • Usually stores a short link to the provider’s server, which then redirects.
  • Lets you change the destination URL later.
  • Can count scans and collect scan data.
  • Often stops working if the subscription ends or the provider shuts down.

Every QR code generated here is static. It will never expire because of us.

To be precise: a QR code itself has no expiry date. But if it contains a link, the code is only as good as that link — if the website goes offline or the domain lapses, the code will still scan but lead nowhere. That part is up to whoever owns the link.
